Who we are
Founded by Graham Usher and Matthew Rose, MATTGRAY has extensive experience in some of the UK’s household name hotels, Hilton, Bespoke Hotels, Hand Picked Hotels & Best Western GB. Offering superior support, expertise, clear direction and inspiration to the Hospitality sector. Ensuring brand, quality and consistency are at the heart of every project they undertake.
Also as personal operators with a number of multi award winning gastro pubs and Inn's, Graham & Matt have extensive 'hands on' experience and in touch with current trends, costs and challenges of running a business in todays market.

"Best Western PLUS Monkbar Hotel, a market leader in the York City set of hotels saw Graham manage and deliver several sales and refurb initiatives. Growing the hotel from 99 beds to 125 (then to 143 rooms), re-positioning the property as a Best Western PLUS product back in the York market and creating a destination restaurant 'The Yorkshire Bar & Grill'. With Graham's expertise we achieved a 27% rate increase following the first year as an 'upper scale' property, increased RGI to over 99% and moved 4 points up his headline comp set for RevPar taking second position in the city. Graham's involvement with Brand was a great support to other Best Western initiatives and was always on hand with the Sales and PR team when there was an opportunity to showcase his property or create an increase in Brand awareness."
